REFUND POLICY
BRIDGEWOOD REFUND POLICY (2026)
Applies to: All Bridgewood Educational Services programmes, services, and accommodation offerings for 2026.
Bridgewood operates on a limited-capacity, seat-based model. Once a learner is accepted and registered, Bridgewood immediately allocates resources and incurs operational costs to provide the programme. For this reason, refunds are strictly controlled and only considered under limited, verified circumstances.
1) NON-REFUNDABLE FEES
The following fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, including withdrawal, absence, failure to attend, or change of mind:
1.1 Application Fee – R1,000 (Non-Refundable)
Reason: The application fee covers administrative and operational processes such as:
-
Processing and capturing learner information
-
Document checks and verification
-
Profile creation, file opening and internal admin
-
Admissions review and programme placement support
-
Communication, data costs, recruitment and onboarding costs
Important: Application fees are charged whether or not the learner proceeds with registration.
1.2 Registration Fee – R5,000 (Non-Refundable)
Reason: Once a learner registers, Bridgewood immediately commits and incurs costs including:
-
Seat reservation within the programme
-
Allocation of academic resources and teaching capacity
-
Initial preparation of learner systems and timetables
-
Administration, compliance, and internal onboarding processes
-
Operational activation costs (printing allocations, staffing, planning)
Important: Registration confirms commitment and secures a learner’s placement. Bridgewood cannot resell or replace that seat easily once it is reserved.

2) CENTRE REGISTRATION FEE (STRICT NON-REFUNDABLE)
Centre Registration Fee – R3,000 (Non-Refundable)
The Centre Registration Fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, even though it is a non-compulsory fee.
Reason: Once paid, this fee contributes to centre-based operational activation and learner support costs, including:
-
Securing and maintaining the learner’s access to Bridgewood facilities
-
Administrative processing and learner system activation
-
Centre capacity planning and resource allocation
-
Academic support structures and centre readiness
-
Operational overheads (utilities, printing capacity planning, staff scheduling)
Important: This fee is treated as an immediate operational contribution, and once payment is received, Bridgewood commits the related costs and cannot reverse them.
2.2 Tracksuit Fee – R550 (Compulsory)
The tracksuit fee is non-refundable if:
-
The tracksuit has been issued, ordered, printed, or branded
-
The learner has collected the tracksuit
If no order has been processed yet, Bridgewood may approve a refund minus any supplier costs already incurred.
2.3 Study Guide Fee – R250 (Non-Compulsory)
The study guide fee is:
-
Non-refundable once printed, issued, or collected
-
Refundable only if the learner paid but never received the guide
3) MONTHLY FEES (FEBRUARY – SEPTEMBER): VERY LIMITED REFUNDS
Monthly fees range from R400 – R1,300 per month, depending on programme.
Bridgewood monthly fees cover running costs such as:
-
Tutor salaries and academic staffing
-
Daily centre operations and utilities
-
Learning support, printing allocations, test setting and marking
-
Timetable delivery, academic planning and internal systems
For this reason, Bridgewood does not provide refunds for monthly fees unless the request qualifies under extenuating circumstances and is supported with documentation.
3.1 Extenuating Circumstances (Only Cases Considered)
Refund requests may only be considered where the learner experiences:
-
Verified hospitalization or serious illness
-
Death of an immediate family member
-
Proven error by Bridgewood (incorrect billing, duplicate payment)
All cases must be supported by documentation.
3.2 Monthly Fee Refund Structure
Where approved, refunds are marginal only and calculated as follows:
-
No refund if the learner attended classes in that month
-
No refund after academic resources for the month have been allocated
-
If approved, the refund will be processed as either:
-
A credit towards the next month, OR
-
A partial refund (at Bridgewood’s discretion)
-
Bridgewood reserves the right to deduct:
-
Admin and processing costs
-
Any academic costs already incurred (e.g. teaching delivered)
-
Printing and resource allocation already used
4) ACCOMMODATION FEES (STRICT POLICY)
Accommodation options:
-
R2,500 (No meals)
-
