2022 Basic Education Calendar Announced

The Department of Education Nationally has released the official DBE Calendar for the academic year of 2022. This calendar will go a long way in helping learners and teachers prepare for the demands of a new academic year.

Using their Twitter platform, the DBE officially released the calendar for the 2022 academic year. This is a welcome sign that things may revert back to a sense of normalcy in 2022 following the turbulence which has affected both the 2020 and 2021 academic years respectively. Many within the education sector will welcome the release of this calendar with the hope that it is a sign of good things yet to come.

For Bridgewood Learners this new calendar means that we are now able to firmly confirm operational starting and closing dates. The official Bridgewood dates will be published on the schools website. Along with a calendar, the school will also issue sessional dates to ensure learners and parents are prepared for the up coming academic year.
